Peanut Farm Beach. Peanut Farm Beach is located around 7 km south of Arugam Bay. There was actually a Peanut Farm before the 2004 Tsunami hit this area. Currently, it is one of the least crowded, but stunningly beautiful beaches on the eastern coast. Although this is mostly a deserted beach, it becomes alive during the surfing season from June.

Distance from Arugam Bay - 7.5 km (12 minutes) Peanut Farm Beach is a distinct breakpoint for surfing in Arugam Bay. It is because this beach has to be accessed through an off-the-beaten track route. It gets this name because the area had peanut farms until they were destroyed during the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004.
